The 2nd International Mersin Art Festival, Turkey was a five-day celebration of art and cultural exchange, held from October 14 to 18, 2018, in the vibrant coastal city of Mersin, with the initiative and generous support of the Mersin Municipality.
Upon the official invitation of the Mayor of Mersin, Robaba proudly represented Afghanistan at this distinguished international gathering. The festival brought together 200 artists from 19 countries, creating a dynamic space where creativity, talent, and artistic passion were shared across cultures.
As the sole representative of Afghanistan, Robaba held a unique and meaningful presence. During the opening ceremony, she presented a portrait she had painted of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk to the Mayor of Mersin, as a heartfelt gesture of appreciation for the invitation and warm hospitality.
This remarkable journey marked Robaba’s first official international trip and her first formal exhibition beyond Afghanistan an inspiring milestone that opened new horizons in her artistic path.
